Why does Shiva sit for Meditation in the cremation ground

Why does Shiva sit for Meditation in the cremation ground  ????

Gone are the days when a person had a heart to heart with the almighty. To whatever they believed to have powers supreme – they developed a personal connection with it. However, things are not the same anymore and it is becoming increasingly superficial each day. Prayers have ulterior motives attached to it and people beg more than they worship.
People have become increasingly selfish and materialistic in their approach. The human race to a greater extent, if not in its entirety is running blindly for all the material pleasure they can experience in one lifetime. They are truly blinded by Maya and have no idea about the repercussions
The truth is, this world is nothing but Maya – apparent reality and not reality itself. It’s a mirage and we are all karmically bound to earth because of the Mrigtrshna. We forget that we do not come down here to possess but to finally let go of all bondages and evolve on the soul level.
Shiva, the Adi Yogi, a half balance of this Universe, who is all knowing – meditates not at a physically appealing location, but at the ‘Shamshan’ or the cremation ground. He is believed to roam around with ash remains of a body smeared all over his body and a garland of skulls adorning his neck. He does so, to put emphasis that everything is temporary and there is something beyond this material physic
The idea behind him roaming, smeared in ash remains and a skull garland – is his way of reminding us of our ground realities. He teaches equanimity by adorning the snakes around his neck in acceptance of the creatures, who are believed to be harmful and a wasted effort. He drinks poison like Elixir of Life to foreground the balance between apparent and ultimate reality. He teaches us we are in the end transcendental.
